I used some basic circle stamps from various sets as well as the emblem image and text form Avery Elle’s All Squared Up set for this card.
I don’t have a lot of outline stamps, so I this isn’t quite like the class samples. Yet, the class did inspire me to use some of the solid stamps I had in a new way.
The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti, and I love it.
(In memory of my dear friend Jackie whom I have been missing for the past five months.)
But this is a Day 2 card.
I had an opportunity to use some of the sprays that I have collected. I used Mister Hueys, Fireworks and some from Firewerks. The background stamp is from Basic Grey, and the sentiment is from the June Studio Calico Card Kit.
I have not used my Pearlex on cards before, and I really like the effect. Well, this is the end of my posts on background techniques. On to text, sentiments and Day 3 classes.
Continuing with my exploration of stamping, here are a few more cards from Day 1, which I completed yesterday on Day 2. Yes, I am already behind!
The floral background is a mystery stamp that I collected during my travels. I’ve created a watercolor effect using Distress Inks. The sentiment is from Avery Elle’s Geometric set. The class sample created square tiles, and I decided to be different and used die cut circles.
This is an amazing stamp that I collected long ago from Stamp A Mania in Las Cruces, NM. It is amazing, an it is still being sold!
Sorry about all the shadows, but it was a late night.
